"MORO DI VENEZIA" 30TH ANNIVERSARY JACKET

On April 30, 1992, “Il Moro di Venezia” won the Louis Vuitton Cup beating Team New Zealand. A historic success to which Murphy&Nye® contributed as the Crew technical clothing official supplier. These garments pioneered ergonomic shapes and high-tech materials such as the Kevlar® composite fabric, which combined unique characteristics of lightness, strength, waterproofness and breathability for the first time in the nautical environment. Today, we celebrate 30 years since this famous win, with a garment in a Limited Edition of 60 pieces, the "Il Moro di Venezia" Anniversary Jacket (2022). Made of a highly durable and protective 3-layer fabric, with an outer shell made of ultra-high-tenacity nano Nylon filaments. The middle layer consists of a waterproof and breathable PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) laminated membrane that provides high water resistance while allowing excellent breathability. The inner layer is made of polyester technical jersey to protect the membrane and create pleasant comfort in contact with the skin. All seams, minimized in size, are heat-taped to prevent any water infiltration. Cuffs are elastic and with adjustable Velcro. Pockets and front opening with concealed zipper.
